Chicago Industrial Market Overview
Brown Commercial Group negotiated a 36,000-square-foot, long-term lease for Methods Machine Tools, Inc. at 70 Prairie Parkway in Gilberts, Illinois, in Chicago’s northwest suburbs.
Brown Commercial Group president Dan Brown negotiated the long-term lease on behalf of the tenant, a leading North American supplier of precision machine tools and automation, and the landlord, Cratos, LLC.
The tenant will more than double its space in moving its Technical Center from Elgin, Illinois. The Gilberts location will house the company’s expanding service, applications and sales departments, along with its automation solutions and turnkey engineering services and also a new Parts Depot for the Midwest.
“We continue to see industrial businesses looking for modern, efficient facilities that will allow them to expand their operations and realize long-term business goals,” Brown said. “This location is ideal for Methods Machine Tools as they continue to expand their Midwest presence and service their Illinois customers.”
Methods Machine Tools supplies customized machine tools for the automotive, aerospace, medical, firearms, die mold and energy industries across North America. The company has 10 showroom and technical center locations throughout the U.S., including a newly opened Regional center in the Milwaukee market. The company plans to move in March 2021.
“Methods-Chicago has tripled in size over the last few years in business and in personnel. We literally ‘grew-out’ of our existing facility and are excited to continue our expansion and our presence in the Chicago market with this state-of-the-art facility,” said Don Miller, general manager for Methods Machine Tools, Inc. “We have made a commitment to investing in infrastructure that can support continued growth, innovation and top-notch client service for years to come.”
